  • 2017 News



  • NEW TITLES!!! Both Kari and Ruby get to add JH to their names after receiving their final passes on September 2, 2017! Kari is now known as IntCH Mira'a Caramel Extravagance JH CA CGC and Ruby is now known as IntCH Miras Ruby Slipper JH CA CGC. Both girls are owner trained and handled to this title by Janine Marty (and Chad Marty). Kari is out of Strider's Annika JH by Strider's Top Choice JH and Ruby is out of Shiloh's Little Leilani by Shiloh's Forgiveness.

  • NEW TITLE!!! Mira's Circus Maximus MHA, CGC, TDI, NAVHD-UTpzIII gets to add another title to his name! Maks became a Junior HUnter Retriever on August 13, 2017. He is the FOURTH EVER in breed history to have earned this title! HUGE congratulations to Maks and his owner/trainer/handler Mara Mrvos on this historical title! Maks is know known as Mira's Circus Maximus MHA, JHR, CGC, TDI, NAVHD-UTpzIII and is out of Strider's Annika JH by Strider's Top Choice JH.

  • Nikko has officially received all of his health clearances! Hips good, eyes/elbows/thyroid are all normal! Test results can be SEEN HERE on the OFA website.

  • NEW TITLE! Michel decided to switch gears in April and enter Nikko into the IABCA International Dog Shows on the 15th and 16th. Nikko was entered 4 times (a show in the morning and afternoon both days) and received the V-1 rating (the highest rating available) and Best of Breed all four shows to earn the INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION title!   • April 8-9, NessaRose tried the show dog thing and enjoyed herself. On Saturday, under judge Joanne Paulk, NessaRose won the 9-12 months class, Best of Winners, Best Owner Handler in Breed, and BEST OF BREED for her first point towards her Champion title. On Sunday she won her 9-12 months class and was given Reserve. Michel handled her to all placements.

  • NEW TITLE! Micah, co-owned by Colisha Shallock, Eileen Hackett, and Michel Berner finished her Champion title under judge GC Penta at the Packerland Kennel Club dog show on April 1, 2017. She's now officially known as CH Bravoz Treasured Encounter! Go Micah! (She's also Colt, Levi, & Eddie's sister!)

  • Elphie had a good showing at the Manitowoc County Kennel Club and Packerland Kennel Club dog shows March 30-April 2nd with Colisha Schallock handling. Thursday and Sunday under judges Dr. robert Indeglia and Mareth Kipp, she won the 12-18 months class and also Reserve Winners. On Friday and Saturday under judges Dr GC Penta and Rick Gschewender she won the 12-18 months classes. Good girl Elphie

  • The first dog shows of the season began well! NEW TITLE NEWS! Nikko finished his Championship requirements Sunday January 16 at the Winnegamie Kennel Club show under esteemed judge Mary Ann Alston. He was handled in the Open Dogs class and Winners Dog for his 3rd major by handler Holley Eldred. Michel took him back into the ring for Best of Breed and was awarded Best of Winners! Pending AKC approval, his is now CH Riverside Mira's Irish Storm! Nikko has been entered in a grand total of 14 different shows, and finished with 3 majors (4 points with Michel handling, 4 points with Sidney Hearn handling, and 3 points with Holley Eldred handling), he has taken Reserve at Reserve at 2 specialties and 2 supported entries (once for each with Holley and Sid), and is maturing to be a very nice boy!   • 2016 News



  • Elphie had a great 4-day showing in the 12-15 months class in Michigan at the Harvest Cluster November 10-13, 2016 with her handler Grace Kofron! On Thursday and Friday she was awarded Best Opposite Sex under judges Anne Katona and Debra Davis. On Saturday, she was Best of Winners under judge Col Joe Purkhiser, and to finish the weekend on a very high note, on Sunday November 13, 3016, judge Richard Powell awarded her Best of Breed over three specials!   • Nikko showed in the 12-18 months class and was awarded Reserve Winners Dog on November 12 & 13 at the Coulee Kennel Club shows under judges Wayne Bousek and Cindy Vogels with Michel handling

  • Driver was awarded a couple of very nice placements in October.  On the 1st of the month, Driver won a 35-dog Open Limited Gun Dog stake at the Vizsla Club of Michigan field trial under judges Marc McKinley and Duane Yoder.  On the 21st, he was awarded 2nd Runner Up in the Central U.S. Vizsla Association's Open Shooting Dog Classic against some very stiff competition. He was handled to both placements by Brian Gingrich.

  • Nikko and Elphie were entered in the St Croix (MN) Kennel Club shows 8/26 and 8/28. In the 12-15 months puppy sweepstakes, Nikko was awarded 4th place under breeder judge Michael Walsh DVM, and in the Twin Cities Vizsla Club Spcialty, was awarded 1st place and Reserve Winnders Dog under judge Clay Coady with junior handler Sidney Hearn steering him to all placements.

    Elphie was only entered in the Specialty that day, and was awarded 2nd in a very competitive 9-12 months puppy class with Michel handling. On Sunday August 28th, both kids were entered and handled by Michel in their classes under breeder judge Walter Sommerfelt. Nikko was awarded 1st place in the 12-15 months class, and Elphie was awarded 2nd place in the 9-12 months class.


    Across the country, Elphie's sister Legs, Mira's Legacy Stride Right Edition, made her show debut at the Santa Barbara Kennel Club under judge Joseph Gregory with owner Melody Starr's granddaughter Hailey handling her to a 3rd place in the 9-12 month puppy class, and a 4th place in the same class under judge Debbie Campbell-Freeman later that same day in the Vizsla Club of Southern California specialty show! Way to go kids!


  • Nikko and Elphie were entered in the Marshfield Area Kennel Club August 20-21, 2016. On Saturday under esteemed judge Col. Joe Purkhiser, Nikko was awarded 1st in the 12-18 puppy class and Winners Dog for a point with junior handler Sidney Hearn at the helm, and Michel handled him to Best of Winners. Little Miss Elphie was handled to 1st in the 9-12 months puppy bitch class and Reserve Winners Bitch by Michel. On Sunday, under judge Edd Biven, Nikko had a repeat performance with the same handlers for another point, and Michel handled Elphie to her first point when she was awarded Winners Bitch. Colt's brother Levi (GCH Bravoz Designer Genes) was awarded Best of Breed both days with Colisha Schallock handling, and their siste Micah was Winners Bitch on Saturday.

  • Bodi, Nikko & Elphie attended the Kishwaukee & Blackhawk Kennel Club shows July 14-17, 2016. They held their own, placing in 20 out of 21 entries (Sweeps and Specialty entries)! Many thanks to Colisha Schallock, Grace Kofron, Becky Feigh for helping with all of the handling required!

  • Nikko was awarded Reserve to the 5-point major from the 9-12Puppy Dog class under judge James M Brown at the Kettle Moraine Kennel Club / Central Wisconsin Vizsla Club Supported Entry with Holley Eldred at the helm on July 3, 2016.

    Mira's Bodi, owned by Robbin & Austin Figge was awarded 1st in his 6-9 month puppy class and 6-9 puppy sweeps at the Central Wisconsin Vizsla Club independent specialty on July 1, 2016 with Colisha Schallock at the helm. He was awarded 2nd in the 6-9 puppy dogs class on Sunday July 3rd with Holley Eldred handling him to the placement

  • Congratulations to Paul Skoglund and his girl Mira's Gypsy of Skoglundfarm on making her UKC debut with a Best of Breed, Best Female and GROUP 2!

  • Nikko - Riverside Mira's Irish Storm - was awarded first place in the 9-12 Puppy Dog class under judge Sandy Alexander on Saturday 6-19-2016, and on Sunday, was awarded 1st in the same class and Winners Dog for the second major towards his Championship under judge Wayne Bousek at the Ft Dodge Kennel Club dog show with junior handler Sidney Hearn at the helm. This was Nikko's 5th weekend showing.

  • NEW TITLE! Mira's Circus Maximus, owned by Mara Mrvos, received his NAVHDA Utility Prize III today! He's officially Mira's Circus Maximus MHA, CGC, TDI, NAVHD-UTpzIII

  • The family had a decent showing at the Twin Cities Vizsla Club Specialty Show held in St. Peter, MN on Friday May 27, 2016. Sweepstakes were judged by Ms. Jean Shepherd and the Specialty was judged by Dr. Bob G. Smith. Bodi (Mira's Bodi) was awarded 1st place in both the 6-9 Puppy Dog Sweepstakes and in the 6-9 Puppy Dog Class (handled by Colisha Schallock). Nikko (Riverside Mira's Irish Storm) was awarded 3rd place in both the 9-12 Puppy Dog Sweepstakes and 9-12 Puppy Dog Class (handled by Michel). Bodi's sire Eddie (GCH CH Bravo's First Edition), owned by Dave Gensch & Colisha Schallock was awarded Best Opposite Sex Veteran and uncle Levi (GCH CH Bravoz Encounter Designer Genes), owned by Colisha Schallock & Eilenn Hackett was awareded Best Opposite Sex in the specialty.

  • Elphie - Mira's She's Not Wicked - and Nikko - Riverside Mira's Irish Storm - had a good weekend showing at the Indianhead Kennel Club dog show the weekend of May 14-15. On Saturday under judge Cindy Vogels, Nikko (handled by me) was awarded 1st place in the 9-12 month puppy class, and then Elphie (handled by Grace Kofra) was awarded 1st in the 6-9 month puppy class. On Sunday under judge Dr. Daniel Dowling, I handled Nikko to a 1st in 9-12 puppy, Winners Dog and Best of Winners for another two points towards his Championship title, while Grace Kofra handled Elphie was handled to a 1st in the 6-9 month puppy, and Reserve Winners Bitch. This was Nikko's 3rd weekend showing and Elphies 2nd weekend showing.

  • NEW TITLE! Maks (Nika x T-Bone) earned his Master Hunter Advanced title on May 1, 2016 at the Oak Ridge Pointing Dog Club hunt test in Harrisville, PA. Maks, owned and handled by Mara Mrvos, is now Mira's Circus Maksimus MHA CGC TDI NAVHDA NA PZ III New Title Picture Here!

  • Driver was handled by Brian Gingrich to a 4th place in the Vizsla Club of Michigan's 20-dog Open Limited Gun Dog stake judged by Susan DeGraw and Ron Auten that was held April 30th at the Ionia Field Trial Grounds.

  • In field trial news, Driver was awarded 3rd place in the National Vizsla Association Western All Age Classic held in Fairfield, Utah. April 10, 2016. He was handled to the placement by Brian Gingrich. Win Picture

  • At the Paper Cities Kennel Club show held at Rothschild, WI on April 9-10, 2016, we "kept it in the family"!

    Mira's Bodi -- out of Twister & Eddie --(owned by Robbin & Austin Figge) was Reserve Winners Dog on Saturday and Winners Dog on Sunday. This was Bodi's first ever weekend showinig and he was handled by his "other grandma" Colisha Schallock.

    Mira's She's Not Wicked "Elphie"-- out of Twister & Eddie -- (owned by me) was Reserve Winners Bitch both Saturday & Sunday. This was Elphie's first ever weekend showing. Thank you handler Holley Eldred for taking her into the ring!

    Riverside Mira's Irish Storm "Nikko" -- out of Ruby & Cagney -- (owned by be, bred by Janine & Chad Marty) was Winners Dog on Saturday and Reserve Winners Dog on Sunday. This was Nikko's second ever weekend showing, handled by Holley Eldred.

    Aunt Micah -- Bravoz Treasured Encounter (Colt's baby sister)-- owned & bred by & handled by Colisha Schallock was Winner's Bitch and Best Opposite Sex both days 5.

    Uncle Levi aka Baby Brudder Levi (Colt's baby brother) -- GCHB CH Bravoz Encounter Designer Genes -- owned/bred by Colisha Schallock was Best of Breed both days.

  • Driver was awarded 2nd out of 13 starters at the Las Vegas Bird Dog Club field trial February 7, 2016 with handler Brian Gingrich.

  • Nikko ( Riverside Mira's Irish Storm) started out 2016 with a bang at his very first dog show! On January 9, 2016 under judge Arley Hussin, Nikko was won his class, Winners Dog, and was awarded the 4-point major from the 6-9 puppy class at the age of 6-months-and-one-day old. On Sunday January 10, 2016, he won his class and was awarded Reserve Winners Dog under judge Sue-Ellyn Rempel. Michel Berner handled him in the ring. Nikko was bred by Janine & Chad Marty out of their girl Mira's Ruby Slipper CA x BIS BISS GCH-PL CH Jaybren's Irish Star. CLICK here for win picture

  • TWO NEW TITLES! Driver and Brian fulfilled a lifelong dream I have had of owning a National Champion! On October 24, 2015, Driver was awarded the title of National Field Champion and also completed the requirements for his Field Champion title when he won the 42-dog Vizsla Club of America National Field Championship held at the Horse Creek Ranch near Cheyenne, WY. The stake was judged by Wayne Yamashita and Christopher Rider. Driver was, as always, expertly handled by his trainer Brian Gingrich. I am also very thankful to breeder Jon Peck for picking him for me from the litter. Driver's new official registered name is now NFC FC Mira's MR Playmaker. Click here for win picture!

  • Driver and Brian went to the east coast October 1, 2015 to compete at the English Setter club in Medford, New Jersey. The trial was hosted by the Eastern German Shorthair Pointer Club, and they were very good to us! Driver was awarded 2nd in the 21-dog Open All Age stake by judges Bob Perlin & James D'Amico, and later that same day, 1st in the 27-dog Open Limited Gun Dog stake by judges Lisa Pollock & William Mengert. On Saturday, Driver was awarded 3rd in the 25-dog Open Gun Dog retrieving stake judged by Marsha Luisi and Robert Errigo. We're really glad that hurricane Joaquin decided to stay off shore!

  • Driver was awarded 2nd place in the Open Gun Dog stake at the Vizsla Club of Michigan field trial September 26 with Brian Gingrich at the helm as always!

  • Congratulations to Mara Mrvos and Maks (Mira's Circus Maximus MH) for picking up a 2nd place win at the Oak Ridge Pointing Dog Club field trial September 18-19 in Harrisville, PA!

  • Driver kicked off the fall field trial season with a bang! The first run of the season yielded a 1st place win at the GSP of Nebraska's all-breed, 40 starters, Open Gun Dog stake that started on September 17, 2015. Judges were Howard Burbach & Kim Amend. He was of course handled to the win by his trainer Brian Gingrich. Thank you breeder Jon Peck for picking him for me!

  • Colt was awarded Best Opposite Sex in Veteran Sweepstakes at the Twin Cities Vizsla Club specialty show 8/21/2015 by breeder judge Becky Smith.

  • Congratulations to Kayjin - Mira's Mischief Maker FDj - on her many show wins in Canada in eary August 2015 where she picked up 7 points towards her Championship, and then she shifted gears and was given an award of merit at the field trial in Manitoba the following weekend. Way to go Kayjin, Arlana & Sue!

  • Driver finished out the first half of 2015 ranked at #5 on the Dogs Defeated list (against all competition), #5 on the AKC Top Dog Gun Dogs System, #3 on the AKC Top Dog All-Age Dogs system, and #15 on the Vizsla Club of America Top Field Trial Dogs Points List. Heartfelt thank you goes out to his field trianer/handler Brian Gingrich and breeder Jon Peck!

  • All in the family! At the Central Wisconsin Vizsla Club Specialty on 6/26/2015, Colt (CH Mira's Peacemaker CGC TDI) was awarded 3rd place in 7-10 year Veteran Sweepstakes and 4th place in Veterans 7+ years. Brother Eddie (GCH Bravos First Edition) was awarded 4th place in Veterans 7+ years, and baby brother Levi was given an Award of Merit. At the CWVC Specialty on 6/27/15, Eddie was awarded BEST Of BREED/BEST IN SPECIATLY! He's now BISS GCH Bravos First Edition! He was handled by his breeder Colisha Schallock.

  • NEW TITLE! Congratulations to Gretchen Warczak and Lily on earning their Junior Hunter title! Lily is officially known as Radinski's Star Gazer CGC JH! She is a daughter of Colt out of Radinski's Jingle Bells Bella, bred by Denise Parker. Title picture here

  • CONGRATULATIONS to Mara Mrvos and Maks (Mira's Circus Maksimus MH CGC TDI NAVHDA NA PZ III) on earning their first 2 points towards Maks's Amateur Field Championship! Maks got 1st in the Vizsla Club of Greater Cleveland's 8-dog Amateur Limited Gun Dog (retrieving) stake on May 10, 2015 under judges Al Cropek Jr. and Steve Tubach in Polk, Pa.   • Colt was handled by Michel to Select Dog at the Indianhead Kennel Club dog show May 9, 2015 under judge Sari Brewster- Tietjen. This was Colt's first time in the show ring in a few years.

  • Driver and handler Brian Gingrich finished up the 2015 spring field trial season by getting a 2nd place out of 16 dogs in the Open Gun Dog stake at the Northstar Weimaraner Club field trial at Ottawa, WI. Judges were Kevin Jahr and Bjorn Peterson. At that's a wrap until next fall!

  • Driver was awarded 3rd place out of 24 dogs in the Open Limited Gun Dog take at the Three Trails Vizsla Club of Kansas City field trial held on May 3rd at Thayer, IA. Judges were Kendall Brown and Dano Morf. Brian Gingrich handled him to the placement.

  • Congratulations to Janine & Chad Marty for handling Kari (Mira's Caramel Extravagance CA) and Ruby (Mira's Ruby Slipper CA) to Reserve Winner's Bitch and Winners Bitch fo 1 point respectively under judge Mrs. Linda M Reidel at the Olympia Dog Fanciers Association in Elma, Washington on May 3, 2015.

  • Congratulations to Janine & Chad Marty for handling Kari (Mira's Caramel Extravagance CA) and Ruby (Mira's Ruby Slipper CA) to Winner's Bitch for 1 point and Reserve Winners Bitch respectively under judge Mrs. Gloria Geringer at the Olympia Dog Fanciers Association in Elma, Washington on May 2, 2015.

  • NEW TITLE! Congratulations to Bonnie Winstead and Penelope for earning the AKC Canine Good Citizen title! Penelope is now officially known as Mira's Power Player CGC! Dad Driver and mom Olive are proud!

  • Driver was awarded 3rd place out of 16 dogs in the Grand Open Limited Gun Dog 1-hour stake at the Three Trails Vizsla Club of Kansas City field trial held on May 1, 2015 at Thayer, IA. Judges were Dano Morf an Mike Heller. He was, as always, handled by his trainer Brian Gingrich of B.G. Gun Dogs.

  • Brian Gingrich and Driver won the Open Gun Dog stake for 2 retrieving points at the Vizsla Club of Michigan field trial April 26, 2015 under judges Jim Yates and Mike Braddock.

  • Driver was handled to a 4-point major Open Gun Dog win March 15, 2015 at the Nebraska Vizsla Club field trial! The all-breed 20-dog stake consisted of Vizslas, GSP, GWP, Irish Setters, and was judged by Jim Douglass and Bruce Bryant. Driver has been exclusively trained and handled in the field by Brian Gingrich. WIN PICTURE

  • NEW TITLE! Congratulation to Carrie Knutson and Piper! On 2-21-2015, Piper completed his Novice title in agility! He is a son of Strider's Forecster JH (Cass) and Shiloh's Enforcer (Brady). He is now known as Strider's Rowdy Piper NA!

  • Driver was awarded 3rd place at the German Wirehair Pointer Club of Southern California field trial February 21, 2015. He competed in the 36-dog Open Gun Dog (retrieving) stake against all pointing breeds. It was judged by Michael Vaz and Nicole Hanzel. Driver is handled exclusively by trainer Brian Gingrich.
  • Driver was awarded 4th place at the Las Vegas Bird Dog Club field trial February 8, 2015. He competed in the 14-entry Open All Age stake against all pointing breeds. It was judged by Matthew Solt and Warren Eizman. Driver was handled by his trainer Brian Gingrich.

  • NEW TITLE! Twister finished her conformation championship title at the Coulee Kennel Club show November 9, 2014 under judge Elizabeth Muthard with me handling. Pending AKC approval, Twister is now recorded as CH Mira's Not In KS N E More CGC! Here is her WIN PICTURE

  • Driver (Mira's MR Playmaker) had a good start to the fall with a 2nd place in gun dog at the Vizsla Club of Michigan field trial with Brian Gingrich at the helm September 27, 2014!

  • Reported from Stroudsburg, PA, USA 1835 hrs. 27 Sep 2014 Mira's Peaceful Light JH NWI --Luke gained his Nose Work I title by passing all four elements of the trial In addition he placed First overall in the Vehicle search with a time of 14.37 seconds out of an allotted time of 3 minutes, and Third place in the Exterior search of 19.47seconds out of an allotted time of 3 minutes and 30 seconds. His times were 46.38 seconds ( 3 minutes allowed) for the Container search and 15.94 seconds ( 3 minutes allowed) for the Interior search. His Handler Roy Kupkowski and Training Director Leslie Kupkowski would like to thank their trainer Jenny Schneider , and all their family and friends for their support and encouragement. Luke will now move on to gain his Advanced Junior Hunter title , and begin Agility training before returning to the Nose Work arena for his Nose Work II title.

  • Twister (Mira's Not In KS N E More) picked up another point towards her Championship on August 17, 2014 by going Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex under judge Jon Cole. Twister was handled by Michel Berner.
  • Maks (Mira's Circus Maksimus MH) was awarded 2nd place in Open Limited Gun Dog (Ret.) and 2nd place in Open Gun Dog in the Vizsla Club of Greater Cleveland field trial in Polk, Pa. on May 10, 2014. He was also awarded 4th place in Amateur Gun Dog on May 11, 2014. Maks is owned, handled and trained by Mara Mrvos.

  • Driver finishes out his Derby career with a 3rd place at the Irish Setter Club field trial in Eagle, WI on 5/4/2014! He will come home for a couple of months, then embark on the path to becoming a polished gun dog this fall. I am looking forward to having him home again!

  • Driver (Mira's MR Playmaker) was awarded First Runner-Up by judges Ricardo Spacarelli and Matt Jones at the National Vizsla Association's Mortenson Derby Classic held in Eagle Mountain, Utah April 12, 2014. Driver was handled to the win by trainer Brian Gingrich and scout Randy Boatwright. He was bred by Jon Peck. WIN PICTURE HERE

  • Lizzie (Mira's Tempting Fate) finished out 2013 ranked at #2 on the Vizsla Club of America Novice Agility list! Way to go trainer/handler/co-owner Katy Forsythe!

  • Twister (Mira's Not In KS N E More) had a good weekend at the Clinton Iowa Kennel Club show March 29-30 with handler Sheila Stahr. On Saturday, she was Reserve Winners Bitch to the 4-point major under Canadian judge William "Sandy" Brown, and on Sunday, she was Winner's Bitch for a 3-ppoint major win under judge Dr. Robeyt Indeglia.   • Driver (Mira's MR Playmaker) was awarded 2nd Runner Up at the National Vizsla Association's 23-dog entry National Derby Classic on March 19, 2014 under judges Ken Chenoweth and Peter Wilken. Driver has been exclusively trained/handled in the field by Brian Gingrich and was bred by Jonathan Peck. Driver's grandpa Briggs (Strider's Generator) won this event back in 2006. (His father Rex won the National Championship here in 2012 as well). Driver had 2 nice finds and made some nice moves. I'm excited to see what the future holds for my boy! This stake was comprised of a lot of top derby dogs in the nation, so to be awarded 2nd-Runner-Up is not too shabby! This is Driver's second placement in a National Derby Classic!

  • NEW TITLE! Lizzie (Colt & Maggie) earned another new agility title with co-owner Katy Forsythe when she earned her Open Jumpers title! She is now formally known as Mira's Tempting Fate NA OAJ!

  • NEW TITLE! "Luke" owned by Roy and Leslie Kupkowski earned his Junior Hunter title this weekend in Georgia! His new official name is Mira's Peaceful Light JH! Way to go Team Luke!

  • Driver (Mira's MR Playmaker) was awarded 4th place at the 2013 Vizsla Club of America National Derby Classic held in Eureka, KS on October 18-19. Four was his lucky number at this trial! Driver ran in the 4th brace in this event, his 4th ever time in competition, to be carried over for two days by the judges to be given 4th place. There were 33 dogs entered in this stake, the majority of which went birdless. Driver carded two quality finds, and stood staunch on point in great style, and had very good application. Brian Gingrich handled Driver, Jim Gingrich scouted. Judges were William Burton and Bryan Hogan. A win picture can be seen here. A very heartfelt thank you to my friend Jonathn Peck who is Driver's breeder, and is the one who told me that "M-5" is the boy I needed!


  • NEW TITLE! Lizzie (Colt & Maggie) earned two new agility titles with co-owner Katy Forsythe on October 18-19, 2013! With blazing fast speed and a pair of blue ribbons, she completed her Novice and Novice Jumpers titles! She is now formally known as Mira's Tempting Fate NA NAJ!

  • NEW TITLE! Maks (Nika x T-Bone) earned his Master Hunter title as well as a qualifying score toward his MHA on Sept. 28, 2013 at the Weimaraner Club of Greater Cleveland's hunt test.   • Driver (Mira's MR Playmaker) was award 3rd place at the Vizsla Club of Michigan field trial 9/28/2013. There were 16 dogs entered in the Open Derby stake. Brian Gingrich handled him to the placement.

  • Rex was declared winner of the 2013Midwest Vizsla Shooting Dog Championship! He is now 1xNFC 1xCH FC AFC 2xRU-CH Burr Oak's Quarterback and is owned by Jim Gingrich and was breeder/trainer/handled by Brian Gingrich. Rex is a son of Briggs and Rex's mom is a daughter of Max. Rex's Pedigree. We're super proud of Rex's accomplishments around here! He will be 7 years old in December, and has already been awarded the following titles in addition to this Championship: 2012 National Vizsla Association National Champion , 2012 NVA Eastern Shooting Dog Runner-Up Champion , 2010 NVA National Quail Championship Runner-Up Champion , American Kennel Club Field Champion , American Kennel Club Amateur Field Champion. On top of the titles, he's received plenty of non-title bearing awards as well. He has an Award of Merit from the 2012 National Gun Dog Championship, 2nd place in the Vizsla Club of America National Amateur Field Championship, and was Top Vizsla at the AKC National Retrieving Gun Dog Championship in May 2010. Driver hopes he can accomplish half of what his father Rex has by this age!

  • Driver (Mira's MR Playmaker) made his field trial debut with trainer/handler Brian Gingrich on 9/21/2013 at the Vizsla Club of Illinois fall field trial. He placed 4th in the 11-dog Open Derby stake. He was one of the youngest dogs entered in the stake, and had a quality find while lots of older, more experienced, dogs went birdless. I am looking forward to his future!
  • Rio (Mira's Rioja Rosada, a Cass & T-Bone daughter owned by Sarah Starkey) was recently featured on HGTV's House Hunters International. Sarah and Rio live in Costa Rica, and their quest for the perfect location made for good TV! Here's a link to the YouTube video of the episode!

  • Twister picked up several more blue ribbons and a couple Reserve wins in Iowa and Colorado!

  • In non-competition news, Colt provided invaluable assistance in helping me capture the red squirrel that decided to move into my house at the beginning of the Father's Day weekend. :-)

  • Twister Mira's Not In KS N E More (Ruby & Oz) was awarded Best of Winners for a FOUR POINT MAJOR at the Fort Dodge Kennel Club show on 6/16/2013 under judge Mrs. Thora Brown out of the Open Class. On 6/15/2013, she was awarded 1st place in the same class under judge Mr. Dana Cline. Sheila Stahr handled Twister.

  • Congratulations to Mara Mrvos for handling Maks Mira's Circus Maksimus SH CGC TDI, NAVHDA-NA Prize III (Nika x T-Bone) to a 3rd place in the Open Gun Dog (RET) stake at the Oak Ridge Pointing Dog Club's Spring Walking Field Trial on May 26 under judges Bob Winters and Charlie Brown. Maks also earned his fourth qualifying pass toward his Master Hunter title on June 9, one more to go to ear his MH title!

  • Twister Mira's Not In KS N E More (Ruby x Oz) was 2nd place in Open Bitches at the Show Me Vizsla Club Specialty on 5/11/13 under judge Michelle Billings. She was 1st in the same class on 5/12/13 under judge Judy Webb. Sheila Stahr handled.

  • Colt and Twister went to the prairies of Canada August 16-19. Colt (CH Mira's Peacemaker CGC TDI) picked up 2 Best of Breed wins, and Twister (Mira's Not In KS N E More) picked up 3 Best of Breed wins while there. Twister is now half-way to her Canadian Championship!

  • Kari was handled to a 3-point major win at the Burlington, Iowa shows on 8/5/2012. (photo) Kari (Mira's Caramel Extravagance) is out of Nika (Strider's Annika JH) and T-Bone (Strider's Top Choice JH). She is owned by Chad & Janine Marty.

  • Twister (Mira's Not In KS N E More photo) and Kari (Mira's Caramel Extravagance photo) each won their respective classes at the Blackhawk/Kishwaukee Kennel Club cluster in July. Kari went on to be awarded RESERVE to the 4-point major! Kari is owned by Chad & Janine Marty. Colt (CH Mira's Peacemaker CGC TDI photo) showed great, but was not awarded a win.

  • At the Cambridge, MN shows June 21-22, Twister (Mira's Not In KS N E More) went BEST PUPPY IN BREED and Reserve under Linda More on 6/21, then went Winners Bitch under judge Pat Trotter on 6/22 for her first AKC point from the 9-12 month old class. Photo

    She then headed up to Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, where she took a clean sweep all four shows she was entered in where she won her Senior Puppy class (same as our 9-12 class), Winners, Best of Breed and Best Puppy In Breed for all four shows. On the final show on Sunday, she went on to win a SPORTING GROUP 4 (photo)! With those Canadian wins, she is currently ranked as the #19 Vizsla in Canada!

  • NEW TITLE! Strider's Tokaj (DC AFC Maximum Strider SH x Muddy Creek Riley) earned her SH title at the Brittany Club of Ohio's May 12 test in Circleville, Ohio. Tokaj is owner handled and trained by Mara Mrvos. She is now known as Strider's Tokaj SH! Congratulations!

  • April 30 & May 1 made for a great weekend for competitions and tests! FC AFC RU-NAFC Bur Oak's Quarterback (Rex, a Briggs son) won 1st place in the 3-point Amateur Limited Gun Dog stake and CH Hi-Weyer Tokaji Aszu' JH (Ozzie, a Marley son) won 2nd place (and his FIRST AFC points!) in the same stake at the Vizsla Club of Eastern Iowa field trial under judges Bill Elliot and Julie Nelson. Mira's Circus Maksimus (Maks, a Nika & T-Bone son) also received his second leg of his JH at the GSP Hunt Test in Newcomerstown, Ohio with the highest scores of the weekend (Hunting 9.5, Bird Finding 9.5, Pointing 9.9 and Trainiability 9.25).

  • Ozzie (CH Hi-Weyer Tokaji Aszu JH) was awarded more Select Dog points that needed over Easter weekend in Waterloo, Iowa, towards his Grand Champion title, and celebrated the win by going to Shellsburg, Iowa immediately after to compete in the German Shorthair Pointer Club of Eastern Iowa field trial! That is a Dual potential dog at it's finest! Congrats to the Weyers! He only needs two more points to finish his GCH title!

  • CH Hi-Weyer Tokaji Aszu JH was awarded 4th place in the Amateur Gun Dog stake at the Gateway Vizsla & German Shorthair Club field trial April 1, 2011 at Pinckneyville, IL against all-breed competition. He's owned by Andy Weyer and George Weyer, and was handled by Andy to the win.

  • Mira's Peacemaker "Colt" is hitting the show ring again so we can pick up the last "major" needed for him to finish his Championship title. In March, he picked up one 3rd place, three 2nd place, two 1st place, and two Reserve Winners Dog wins. He will be coming home for the month of April, then will hit the shows again in May!   • Mira's Sugar Tree Stomp (Rasta x Briggs), owned by Dru Puckett, was awarded 2nd place in the Open Puppy stake at the Mason-Dixon German Shorthair Pointer field trial November 6, 2010. She's now moved up to #33 in the country!

  • Mira's Fun on the Run, (Trey x Archiee, a Briggs granddaughter) owned by Rick and Mary Heist was awarded 3rd place in the Vizsla Club of Northern California Amateur Walking Puppy stake May 1, 2010! Way to go Rick and Mary!

  • Mira's Tennessee Sugar Tree Stomp (Sugar), owned by Dru Puckett, picked up another 2nd place Open Puppy win at the Pointer Associates of New England field trial 10/29/2010. She is now ranked #42 in the country with this win. Go Sugar!

  • Burr Oak’s Quarterback, "Rex", owned by Jim Gingrich, Winnebago, IL and handled by Brian Gingrich was named Top Vizsla at the AKC National Retrieving Gun Dog Championship in May 2010.   • Mira's Peacemaker "Colt" was handled to his first CH point by Sheila Stahr at the Edwardsville Illinois Kennel Club dog show in Belleville, IL under judge Peter Bauer. See Colt's page for win photo.

  • Andy & George Weyer's boy Ozzie Hi-Weyer's Tokaji Aszu' JH (Marley & O Mega) was awarded Reserve on Satuday and on Sunday was awarded Winners Dog for 2 points at the Granite City Kennel Club show at St Cloud , MN in December 2009.

  • Burr Oak's Quarterback "Rex" (Briggs & Lucy) was awarded the 2009 Runner-Up in the Vizsla Club of America National Amateur Field Championship near Danville, VA

  • Strider's Generator "Briggs" began his gun dog career with Jerry Jordan by being awarded 3rd place at the German Wirehaired Pointer Club of Eastern Nebraska's Open Gun Dog (Retrieving) stake on 10/10/2009 with Jerry at the helm. There were 35 dogs in that stake judged by David Borg and Joe Fingerlin

  • NEW TITLE!!!--Andy & George Weyer's boy Ozzie (Marley & O Mega) recently finished his Junior hunter title and earned his first conformation points. He's now officially Hi-Weyer's Tokaji Aszu' JH.

  • Shiloh Promise Land "Moses" and Shiloh N Mira's Magdalene JH "Maggie" rocked the Central Wisconsin Vizsla Club's 30-dog Open Derby stake. Moses was awarded first place and Maggie was awarded 2nd place by judges Julia Bonar and Debby Fridlund-Lynn on April 15, 2007

  • NEW TITLE!!!--Rockit Dog JH "Rockit" finished his JH title with owner/handler Jeff Parise

  • Strider's Forecaster JH "Cass" was awarded Reserve to the 4-point major at Land O'Lakes Kennel Club on January 6, 2007...and Marley's son Hi-Weyer's Tokaji Aszu ("Ozzie") went Reserve on January 7th.

 

2006 NEWS

  • Shiloh N Mira's Magdalene JH "Maggie" was awarded 3rd place at the Vizsla Club of America's National Puppy competition by judges Tim Schillereff and Bill Webb on October 28, 2006.

  • Shiloh's Promise Land "Moses" made his American Field mark when he was awarded 2nd Runner-up at the National Vizsla Association  Derby Classic on October 4th at Ionia Michigan.

  • It was a good weekend for us at the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Minnestoa field trial on 9/23 & 9/24 - Cass (Strider's Forecaster JH)  qualified for Nationals when she placed 3rd in the Open Derby, little Maggie ( Shiloh N Mira's Magdalene JH ) placed Second in the Open Puppy, and Moses (Shiloh's Promise Land) placed Third in the Open Puppy.

  • Shiloh N Mira's Magdalene JH won her first two Field Championship points when she was declared 1st place at the Lake Superior Pointing Dog Club field trial at Solon Springs, WI. There were 2 Pointers, 3 German Shorthair Pointers and 5 Vizslas entered in the stake.

  • NEW TITLE!!! -- Porter, owned by Jason & Jessica Grusnick finished his Junior Hunter title on 9/16/2006. He is now officially Porter JH. WAY TO GO PORTER!

  • NEW TITLES!!!--Two of our "extended family" finished their Junior Hunter titles on September 3, 2006.  Strider's Diamond Girl JH "Roxy", owned by Steve and Donna Hoelz (Seven x Storm) and Strider's Polish Vizion "Nubbins", owned by Ginger Grove (Molly x Mace) were both owner handled to their titles in four straight passes. Porter owned by Jason & Jessica Grusnick also picked up his 2nd & 3rd passes (out of 3 attempts) towards his Junior Hunter title, and Rockit-Dog owned by Jeff Parise picked up his first pass on his first ever entry Monday September 4th. Porter and Rock are littermates. Seven's grandson Storm Wind Strider's Red Warrior, owned by Sharon Shea and Kirsten Davis also finished his Junior Hunter. WAY TO GO GUYS!

  • We closed on the new house on Friday June 30th. We plan to be totally out of the place in Dousman no later than July 15th. We need to install close to 7,000 feet of fencing, get a foundation poured, and erect a quail coop before August 15th. Busy days ahead.

  • Strider's Forecaster JH was awarded another point towards her Championship at the Coulee Kennel Club show on August 5, 2006 under judge Sandra Goose Allen. She's done showing for the fall and will go back into field trial training.

  • Strider's Prophet JH was awarded Reserve at the Little Fort Kennel Club show under judge Mr. Dana Cline on June 16, 2006. Sharon Shea offered to show him for me and handled him to the win.

  • Strider's Forecaster JH picked more CH points at the Indianhead Kennel Club. On Saturday June 3, 2006, Cass was awarded Best Opposite Sex by Wayne Bousek and Sunday was awarded Reserve by Jean Fournier.  Michel handled her to the wins.

  • Strider's Forecaster JH picked up her first Championship points by going Winners Bitch at the Illinois Valley KC on 5/26 & 5/28, Winners Bitch at the Corn Belt KC on 5/27, and Reserve at the Corn Valley KC on 5/29. Cass is owned by Michel Berner & Robert Tomczak, handled by Michel Berner.

  • NEW TITLE!!!--Strider's Ace SH finished finished his Senior Hunter at the Central Wisconsin Vizsla Club hunt test on May 21, 2006. Ace is owned, trained & handled by Victor and Colomba Barger.

  • NEW TITLE!!!-- Strider's Razzmatazz JH finished her Junior Hunter at the Central Wisconsin Vizsla Club hunt test on May 21, 2006. Taz is owner trained and handled by Rodney & Anne Albin.

  • We've got an accepted offer on 30.32 acres near Eau Claire, WI. VERY EXCITING! The critters and humans are counting down the days until we move to more space!

Ready also went Reserve Winner's dog the next day from the puppy 6-9 Class. This was Ready's 2nd time in the Show Ring. Sire: M- BIS/BISS CH Russet Leather Warrior's Mark, JH, Dam: CH Strider's Cayenne Here She Is. Owner's: Sharon Shea & Kirsten Davis.

  • NEW TITLE!!!--FC AFC Strider's TNG SH CGC finished her Senior Hunter title on 4/29/2006 at the GWP of Wisconsin hunt test. Gennie is owned and handled by Michel Berner.

  • NEW TITLE!!!--Strider's Prophet JH finished his Junior Hunter title on 4/23/2006 in consecutive weekends. Jeremiah is owned and handled by Michel Berner.

  • NEW TITLE!!!--Strider's Red Flash SH finished his Senior Hunter title on 4/22/2006. Flash is owner trained and handled by Victor & Colomba Barger.

  • NEW TITLE!!!--Strider's Top Choice JH finished his Junior Hunter Title on 3/26. T-Bone is owned/handled by Michel Berner.

  • NEW TITLE!!!--Strider's Forecaster JH finished her Junior Hunter with ease. Cass received her first two JH passes on 3/25 & 3/26, placed 3rd in the Open Puppy stake Central Wisconsin Vizsla Club field trial on 4/8, then received her final two JH passes on 4/15 & 4/16. Cass is owned by Michel Berner & handled by Michel.

  • Strider's Generator finished his Derby career with style. Briggs was named 1st Runner-up of the Midwest Vizsla Field Futurity 3/10/2006 and declared Winner of the 2006 National Vizsla Association National Derby Classic 3/22/2006. Briggs is owned by Michel Berner and was handled to both wins by Robert Tomczak.

  • NEW TITLE!!!--CH Strider's Play the Field owned by Tina Church "Bones" finished her Championship on April 9, 2006 at the Kennel Club of Yorkville show under judge Lawrence Stanbridge. Bones finished her title in 8 weekends, receiving three successive "majors" and the needed single point in short order.

  • Strider's Generator "Briggs" was awarded the title of Winner of the 2006 National Vizsla Association Derby Classic March 10, 2006. Briggs is owned by Michel Berner & Rob Tomczak, was bred by Wanda Berner, handled by Rob Tomczak, and scouted by Jonathan Peck. GO TEAM BRIGGS!
